Smooth Landing Permit Approvals at Sioux Falls Regional Airport (FSD) through Just Aviation

Sioux Falls Regional Airport operates with CBP inspection hours from Monday to Friday, 0800–1600 CT, in line with federal permission-to-land procedures. Operators arriving from international locations must contact CBP during office hours, before departing the foreign airport, and at least two hours before the anticipated arrival. Permission to land is valid within a ±30-minute tolerance, and any change outside this window requires renewed approval. Commercial operators departing the U.S. must coordinate outbound clearance directly with CBP prior to departure. Requests for inspections outside regular hours or on weekends must be arranged no later than the close of business on the preceding weekday.

Upon arrival, aircraft are parked on the CBP ramp under the direction of the FBO, where a CBP officer conducts inspections and provides further instructions. Due to ongoing construction near the CBP ramp, processing may occur at an alternate location—operators should follow tower instructions and coordinate with the FBO for parking and crew/passenger transport to the CBP facility. The FBO Signature acts as the USDA international compliance contractor and must be notified in advance if their presence is needed to prevent delays during the inspection process.
