Dedicated Landing Permit Support at Katowice Wojciech Korfanty International Airport (IATA: KTW, ICAO: EPKT) with Just Aviation

To secure landing permits at airports in Poland, operators must follow the regulations set by the Civil Aviation Authority (ULC), as defined by the Aviation Act of 3rd July 2002 (OJ 2020.1970, as amended), alongside further guidelines issued by the Ministry of Transport, Construction, and Maritime Economy. Applications for landing permits must be directed to the President of the Civil Aviation Authority, including detailed information such as the operator’s name, business address, registration number, PESEL (if applicable), types of ground services offered, NIP, the airports involved, the requested permit duration, and the intended start date of operations.

For non-scheduled commercial flights, operators seeking permission to carry out 1 to 9 flights in or out of Poland are required to submit an application for Single Permission. This must be done at least 3 working days before the first flight. The application must include the following supporting documents: an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) along with its operational specifications, insurance details for the aircraft, a charter agreement, the Airworthiness Certificate, a Noise Certificate, and a valid TCO (Third Country Operator) authorization from EASA.

Operating commercial flights without prior approval or using aircraft not listed in the permit can lead to significant penalties, including financial charges and potential legal action. Additionally, if an operator plans to perform 10 or more flights in the same scheduling season, they will be required to pay an aviation fee of PLN 22,238, unless they’ve already paid a fee for general permission within that period.
