Professional and Timely Landing Permits at Kahului Airport (OGG) by Just Aviation

Kahului Airport operates with CBP inspection services available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, subject to prior approval and in accordance with official permission-to-land procedures. Regular CBP office hours are Monday through Friday, 0700–1500 Hawaii-Aleutian Time. Operators arriving from international locations must contact CBP during business hours and before departing the foreign airport to obtain landing permission. The approved landing time includes a ±30-minute tolerance, and if the estimated arrival time falls outside this window, operators must contact CBP again to renew their approval. Commercial operators departing the U.S. are also required to arrange outbound clearance directly with CBP prior to departure.

Upon arrival, the local FBO coordinates ramp parking and inspection arrangements with CBP officers. The inspection process begins once the aircraft is positioned at the assigned location, where crew and passengers are processed in accordance with entry requirements. Operators must ensure that all required documentation—including passports, visas, licenses, medical certificates, aircraft registration, and user fee decals (if applicable)—is available for review.
