Operators arriving from international locations must contact CBP prior to departing the foreign airport and at least two hours before the expected arrival to obtain permission to land. Upon arrival, ground control will direct the aircraft to the inspection area, where a CBP officer meets the aircraft on the ramp to begin clearance procedures. Crew and passengers are typically processed inside the General Aviation Facility (GAF) unless mobility accommodations are needed, in which case clearance onboard can be arranged. Operators must have passports, visas, licenses, medical certificates, aircraft registration, and user fee decals ready for inspection. Regulated waste is collected by ground crew, and passengers may depart directly from the GAF once inspection is complete.
