Haiti has its own set of rules, regulations, and procedures for permits required by aircraft intending to land or enter their airspace. This applies to various types of operations, including private flights, general aviation, charter flights, scheduled or non-scheduled operations, passenger or cargo trips, as well as technical or traffic landings.
There are officially no CAA processing fees for the issuance of a Haiti Overflight Permit.
Overflight permits are valid for a duration of 24 hours from the initial requested schedule.
It is required to notify the Office National de l'Aviation Civile (OFNAC) of the landing permit at least 24 hours in advance.
Haiti's airspace is currently divided into one Flight Information Region (FIR).
The Haiti CAA will directly issue an air navigation bill to the Airline/Operator.
Navigation Fees and Communication Fees are dependent on the aircraft's Maximum Takeoff Weight (MTOW) and will be charged accordingly by the Haiti Civil Aviation Authority (OFNAC).
The Haiti CAA operates from 0100Z to 1000Z.
