to consider for Afghanistan International Flight Operations

To obtain overflight permits for operations to Afghanistan, operators typically need to submit an application that includes the following information and documents:
    1 - Flight Schedule
2 - Entry / Exit Points with ATC Route
3 - Local Receiving Party Details
    4 - Aircraft Documents:
    - Air Operator Certificate (AOC)
    - Certificate of Airworthiness (COA)
    - Certificate of Insurance (COI)
    - Certificate of Noise Compliance (CON)
    - Certificate of Registration (COR)

Afghanistan requires Prior Permission for aircraft landing or entering their airspace, regardless of the type of operation or purpose.

The aviation authority in Afghanistan is the Afghanistan Civil Aviation Authority (ACAA). They are responsible for regulating and overseeing civil aviation activities in the country, including issuing permits, enforcing safety regulations, and managing airspace.

Flight operators should submit the permit application at least 48 working hours before the scheduled flight departure.

The Afghanistan Overflight Permit number should be included in Item 18 of the submitted Flight Plan.

The issuance of Afghanistan Overflight Permits does not incur any CAA processing fees. However, it's important to note that there is an agent fee involved. The Afghanistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) only accepts requests from agents who have a physical office located within Afghanistan.

Afghanistan overflight permits are valid for a minimum of 72 hours from the initially requested schedule.

Afghanistan's airspace is currently divided into one Flight Information Region (FIR).

In Afghanistan, airports provide Jet A or Jet A-1 fuel for jet engines and turbine-powered aircraft.

The working hours of the Afghanistan Civil Aviation Authority are from 0400Z to 1200Z.
