Implement a Simplified Approach to Business Aviation Permissions for Overflight and Landings from the Civil Aviation Agency of the Macedonia (CAA) at Macedonia International Airports

Macedonia has two international airports: Skopje Alexander the Great Airport (LWSK) and Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport (LWOH). Both airports are open 24 hours and have customs and immigration facilities. Macedonia requires non-scheduled landing permits for all flights that intend to land in its territory. The landing permit application should be submitted to the CAA at least 24 hours before the planned flight, and should include the same documents as the overflight permit application. The CAA will issue a permit number, which should be passed to the flight department or printed on the operational flight plan. The CAA may impose additional requirements or restrictions depending on the type and nature of the flight. For example, diplomatic flights may need a diplomatic clearance from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Flights carrying dangerous goods may need a special authorization from the CAA. Flights operating in low visibility conditions may need special approval from the airport authority. The CAA should be notified of any changes or cancellations of the landing permit as soon as possible. The CAA may also charge a fee for the landing permit, which should be paid in advance or upon arrival.
