Jet A-1 fuel, designed specifically for business jets flying at higher altitudes, offers a 30% reduction in fuel usage, leading to substantial cost savings. This kerosene-derived fuel is suitable for a broad array of jet aircraft. With a boiling range of 150°C to 250°C, a flashpoint above 38ºC (100ºF), and a freeze point as low as -47ºC, it ensures safe operation across varying conditions. Its energy density of 34.7 MJ/kg optimizes flight distance and reduces the need for frequent refueling.

Optimized fuel management is a critical factor in enhancing business aviation efficiency, providing substantial cost reductions and increasing endurance for long-haul flights. Fuel selection has direct implications on engine thrust, thermal efficiency, and overall safety, with strict adherence to safety protocols ensuring uninterrupted operations. The adoption of low-emission fuels aids in reducing carbon output, aligning with green aviation initiatives. Compliance with aviation fuel regulations is paramount to maintain certification and avoid operational violations. Awareness of fuel rheology in low temperatures is vital to prevent phenomena like fuel gelling, ensuring seamless aircraft performance in colder climates.

Nelson Mandela International Airport (IATA: RAI, ICAO: GVNP), also known as Praia International Airport, is situated on Santiago Island in Cape Verde. Opened in October 2005, this airport replaced the old Francisco Mendes International Airport. It is located approximately 3 km (1.9 mi) northeast of Praia's city center in the southeastern part of Santiago. The airport, initially serving as the main gateway to Cape Verde's capital, was renamed in January 2012 to honor Nelson Mandela, despite some controversy. In July 2023, Vinci Airports and its subsidiary ANA-Aeroportos de Portugal secured a 40-year concession for the airport's funding, operation, maintenance, and modernization.
