Strategic Upgrades for Jet Fuel Service Delivery at DHX
Engineered to the specifications of DEF STAN 91-91 and ASTM D1655, Jet A-1 fuel is indispensable for global aviation, ensuring seamless operations through IATA and FAA compliance.
Jet A-1 fuel, specifically designed for high-altitude business jet use, delivers 30% less fuel consumption, leading to considerable cost savings. This kerosene-based fuel is versatile and compatible with many jet aircraft. With a boiling range of 150°C to 250°C, a flashpoint above 38ºC (100ºF), and a freeze point of -47ºC, it ensures dependable performance. Its energy density of 34.7 MJ/kg enhances the aircrafts range and reduces refueling frequency.
Advancing fuel management services in business aviation is key to achieving financial efficiency and increasing flight range. Fuel selection affects engine safety, fuel combustion rates, and efficiency, requiring adherence to safety guidelines for optimal performance. The use of green fuels directly supports efforts to reduce carbon emissions and enhances environmental responsibility. Compliance with fuel specifications is necessary for regulatory alignment and to avoid potential fines. Understanding how fuel behaves in cold environments is critical to preventing issues such as fuel congealing or wax formation. Ensuring consistent aircraft operation remains the priority.
Principal Aspects & Key Features of Dhoho Airport (DHX)
Dhoho Airport serves Kediri, situated approximately 120 kilometers southwest of Surabaya, and also caters to the Blitar and Nganjuk regencies of East Java, Indonesia. The airport aims to boost economic growth in southern East Java and supplement the operations of Juanda International Airport in Surabaya and Abdul Rachman Saleh Airport in Malang. It began domestic passenger operations on 5 April 2024 and is designed to accommodate international travel. Dhoho International Airport is the first airport in Indonesia to be fully funded by the private sector, developed in three phases under a public-private partnership scheme with a concession period of 30 to 50 years.
Dhoho International Airport features a terminal building with a total area of 18,224 square meters. Initially, the terminal can accommodate 1.5 million passengers per year, with plans to increase annual capacity to 4.5 million people in the next development phase, and eventually to 10 million people. The airport has one runway, designated 14/32, which is 3,300 meters (10,827 feet) long and surfaced with asphalt. The construction of Dhoho International Airport is part of Indonesia's National Strategic Projects. With an investment of Rp10 trillion (US$709.22 million), the project includes a land area of about 372 hectares. The runway is capable of accommodating wide-body aircraft Class 4E. After completion, the airport will be operated by PT Angkasa Pura I. Development was overseen by Surbana Jurong, a Singaporean company, and groundbreaking took place virtually due to COVID-19 on April 15, 2020. The airport is expected to handle 1.5 million passengers per year initially, increasing to 10 million passengers as development progresses, highlighting its role in enhancing regional connectivity and economic growth.
