The facility is operated by the South Jersey Transportation Authority (SJTA) and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, with most of the land owned by the Federal Aviation Administration and leased to the SJTA. The airport provides an accessible alternative to Philadelphia International Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport.
