Complying with DEF STAN 91-91 and ASTM D1655 specifications, Jet A-1 fuel is essential for international aviation, with IATA and FAA regulatory alignment ensuring smooth operational flow.

    check

Tailored for business jets at high altitudes, Jet A-1 fuel offers a 30% reduction in fuel consumption, ensuring significant savings. This kerosene-based fuel is suitable for a variety of jet aircraft. With a boiling range between 150°C and 250°C, a flashpoint above 38ºC (100ºF), and a freeze point of -47ºC, it ensures reliable performance. Its energy density of 34.7 MJ/kg extends the aircraft's range, reducing the frequency of refueling during longer flights.

Ensuring efficient fuel management is fundamental for business jet operations, as it directly influences cost optimization and range expansion. The fuel selected impacts engine combustion dynamics, thermal conductivity, and vibration dampening, with regulatory compliance ensuring operational safety. Utilizing clean fuels helps achieve carbon reduction targets, supporting industry-wide sustainability goals. Adherence to aviation fuel regulations is necessary for maintaining certification, while knowledge of fuel crystallization and viscosity at low temperatures is key to preventing operational disruptions in cold weather.

Asmara International Airport (IATA: ASM, ICAO: HHAS) is the international airport serving Asmara, the capital of Eritrea. It is the largest airport in the country and the only one offering regularly scheduled services as of 2017. The airport was originally constructed by Italian colonial authorities in 1922, making it the first airport in Italian Eritrea, initially named "Aeroporto di Gura." It played a vital role as the main military airport in the territory and began offering civilian and commercial flights in the mid-1930s. With Eritrea's independence in the 1990s, the airport became an international gateway to the new nation.

    check

Asmara International Airport has capacity restrictions due to its small terminal, short runway, and high altitude of 2,300 meters (7,546 feet). Consequently, some large jet aircraft cannot operate at the airport and must use Massawa International Airport on the Eritrean coast. The airport features one asphalt runway, designated 07/25, with a length of 3,000 meters (9,842 feet). The airport has undergone several renovations and expansions over the years. During World War II, it was nearly destroyed but was later renovated in the 1950s to offer flights to Addis Ababa and other Ethiopian cities. The airport served 136,526 passengers in 2004, showing an 11.8% increase from the previous year. After improvements to the runways in 2003, it began regular services to several international destinations. Despite its capacity limitations, Asmara International Airport remains a critical hub for Eritrea, providing essential connectivity for the region.
