Landing Permits in Solomon Islands' International Operations
Similarly, any aircraft owner/operator intending to land in Solomon Islands must apply for a landing permit at least 72 hours prior to the flight. The application can also be done online via the CAASI website. The landing permit is valid for the specified date, time, airport, and aircraft registration number. Any changes to the approved details must also be notified to the CAASI in advance. Additionally, the aircraft owner/operator must comply with the local airport regulations, such as customs, immigration, health, security, and environmental requirements. The CAASI may impose fees or charges for the landing permit, depending on the type and purpose of the flight.
