Keeping Business Jets Ready with Rapid Fueling at SMF

    check

Engineered according to DEF STAN 91-91 and ASTM D1655, Jet A-1 fuel operates reliably under IATA and FAA regulatory frameworks worldwide.

    check

Derived from kerosene, Jet A-1 fuel is specially formulated for business aviation, achieving a 30% reduction in fuel burn. Its boiling range of 150°C to 250°C, coupled with a flashpoint exceeding 38°C (100°F), guarantees stability during storage and use. With an energy density of 34.7 MJ/kg and a freeze point of -47°C, it enables extended flights with fewer stops for refueling.

    check

When fuel management is optimized in business aviation, refueling duration can be reduced by 15%, leading to quicker turnarounds and improved schedule reliability. Engine thrust is boosted by 2-3% with tailored fuel blends, aiding takeoff and performance in high-altitude conditions. Monitoring fuel consumption in real time improves efficiency by 5%, cutting operational costs. A 5-7% fuel buffer ensures compliance with safety standards and provides flexibility for unplanned route changes.

Sacramento International Airport (IATA: SMF, ICAO: KSMF) is an international airport located in Sacramento, California, approximately 10.5 miles (16.9 km) northwest of downtown Sacramento in Sacramento County.

    check

The airport features two main runways: Runway 17L/35R, which is 8,605 feet (2,623 meters) long, and Runway 17R/35L, which is 8,598 feet (2,621 meters) long, both of which are made of concrete. In 2023, Sacramento International Airport handled 12,976,092 passengers and 124,383 aircraft operations. Sacramento International has two terminals. Terminal A has 13 gates, while Terminal B has 19 gates, totaling 32 gates across both terminals. The old Terminal B had 14 gates. Terminal B serves 8 airlines, while Terminal A serves 4 airlines. Additionally, all indoor public areas of the airport have free Wi-Fi (wireless internet) for passengers. For operators, a ground vehicle surveillance system is in use, and all aircraft are required to operate with transponders in altitude reporting mode and ADS-B (if equipped) enabled on all airport surfaces. Noise-sensitive areas exist to the west of the airport along the Sacramento River, and local turns for jet aircraft are discouraged. When conducting IFR approaches in VFR conditions, pilots are instructed to execute a missed approach at the departure end of the runways and to plan VFR patterns to the east. Aircraft are also encouraged to use minimum power settings during operations. Furthermore, all aircraft must contact ATC Ground Control prior to movement on the ramp. Crop dusters operate near the airport at or below 200 feet AGL.
