Required Details for Obtaining Mali Overflight Permit Application Flight Details

Mali has specific rules and procedures for aircraft permits, whether it's for landing or entering their airspace. These regulations apply to various types of flights, such as private, general aviation, charter, scheduled, or non-scheduled operations, and both passenger and cargo trips.

To fly in Mali airspace, aircraft owners/operators need to submit a request for Mali overflight clearance to the air transport department at least 48 working hours before the scheduled departure. Including the Aeronautical Fixed Telecommunication Network (AFTN) on the flight plan is necessary, but only an overfly permit from Mali is required.

For passenger flights or technical stops in Mali, the Mali Airports Authority has its own regulations for issuing Mali overflight permits, which usually involve payment.

Mali is a signatory to the Chicago Convention, meaning that flights and crews must comply with ICAO general rules of international air traffic and regulations for the transport of troops, equipment, materials, and dangerous goods.

The aviation authority in Mali is ANAC (National Civil Aviation Agency). ANAC regulates and supervises civil aviation activities in Mali, ensuring compliance with international standards.

The issued overflight permit number must be inserted in Item 18 of the submitted Flight Plan.

The Mali overflight permit number is N°0277/ANAC/DG du 25/01/2020.

Officially, there are no CAA Processing Fees applied for the issuance of Mali Overflight Permits.

Mali overflight permits are valid for a period of +72 hours from the initially requested schedule.

Mali's airspace is currently organized into one Flight Information Region (FIR).
