At INL, Every Flight Benefits from Planned Refueling
Designed to meet DEF STAN 91-91 and ASTM D1655 criteria, Jet A-1 fuel facilitates smooth aviation operations, supporting IATA and FAA standards worldwide.
Jet A-1 fuel is engineered to reduce fuel consumption by 30% in business jets operating at higher altitudes. It is derived from kerosene and is suitable for various jet aircraft. Its boiling point range is 150°C to 250°C, its flashpoint exceeds 38°C (100°F), and it has a freeze point of -47°C. With an energy density of 34.7 MJ/kg, Jet A-1 enhances aircraft range, cutting down on the need for refueling during extended flights.
By reducing refueling delays by 15%, business aviation improves turnaround efficiency and supports timely departures. Fuel properties adjusted for better combustion add 2-3% thrust, optimizing takeoff and climb performance. Real-time tracking delivers a 5% gain in fuel efficiency, cutting operational costs. A 5-7% reserve ensures safety and adaptability for unexpected changes.
Planning Your Operations Before You Arrive at Falls International Airport (INL)
Falls International Airport (IATA: INL, ICAO: KINL) is a city-owned public-use airport located in International Falls, Minnesota, in Koochiching County. While the airport is primarily used for general aviation, it also serves as the base for one commercial airline providing scheduled passenger services, supported by the Essential Air Service program.
The airport has two runways: Runway 13/31, which is 7,400 feet (2,256 meters) long and surfaced with asphalt, and Runway 4/22, measuring 2,999 feet (914 meters) in length, also with an asphalt surface. In 2018, the airport recorded 38,850 aircraft operations. Over the 12-month period ending December 31, 2015, it handled an average of 109 aircraft operations per day. Of these, 88% were related to general aviation, 6% involved scheduled commercial flights, another 6% were air taxi operations, and less than 1% were military-related. As of March 2017, the airport had 20 aircraft based there, all of which were single-engine planes. Aircraft operations are not allowed in excess of 15 minutes before or after scheduled arrival/departure times without prior coordination with the manager. A 24-hour prior permission is required for unscheduled aircraft operations with more than 30 passenger seats. Field conditions are unmonitored from 0000 to 0500.
